Mail-Art-Projekt der TUFA Trier - Kunst auf dem Postweg
2010 feiert das Kulturzentrum der Stadt Trier, die Tuchfabrik (kurz TUFA genannt), ihr 25-jähriges Bestehen. In ihrem früheren Leben war die TUFA eine Tuchfabrik, es entstanden Stoffe. Heute ist die TUFA ein Kulturzentrum, es entsteht Kulturgut in den Bereichen Theater, Musik, Kunst, Tanz, Literatur etc. Die TUFA hat wunderschöne Ausstellungsräume, in denen wir eine Jubiläums-ausstellung zeigen möchten. Künstler, Maler, Grafiker, Zeichner, Fotokünstler, Poeten und die, die es sein und werden wollen, aus Trier, aus den Partnerstädten, den befreundeten Städten, aus der ganzen Welt: SCHICKT UNS POST!

Schickt und schenkt uns eine Künstlerpostkarte zum Thema TUFA, zum Thema Kulturzentrum, zum Thema Tuch (Stoff) und/oder zu unserem Geburtstag. Alle Formate, die von der Post befördert werden, sind erlaubt.
Die originalen, handgefertigten, handsignierten und freigemachten Künstlerpostkarten, die den Weg per Post (nicht per e-mail) in die TUFA Trier finden, finden einen Platz in der Ausstellung im Herbst 2010. Karten, die bis zum 15. Juli 2010 eingehen, haben die Möglichkeit in einem Katalog veröffentlicht zu werden. Spätere Einsendungen können nicht mehr berücksichtigt werden. Die Postkarten werden im Internet abgebildet.
Was passiert mit den Künstlerpostkarten nach Ende der Ausstellung?
Wir möchten die Karten aufbewahren, vielleicht in der einen oder anderen Partnerstadt ausstellen oder sie für einen guten Zweck versteigern.

Vergesst Euren Absender nicht, oder eine e-mail Adresse. Vielleicht bekommt ihr ja auch Post von uns. Das Kunstgremium der TUFA: Rainer Breuer, Martina Diederich, Herbert Lauer, Gabriele Lohberg. Mit der Teilnahme an dem Mail-Art-Projekt treten die Künstler die Abbildungsrechte im Rahmen der Ausstellung für Katalog und Werbeplakat in Print- und Internetmedien an die TUFA honorarfrei ab.

FRAGILE - global performance chain journey
The action: One object will be passed from performance artist to performance artist, travelling so all around the whole globe. The STARTING POINT of the object will be Florence, Italy, out of the hands of VestAndPage in winter 2010.

The object will be carried (by foot, train, car, ship, horse,....) to the next-by assigned performance neighbour's place. The carrying/transporting itself shall be a performance: Every single performance artist in hold of the object chooses the personal "performance", way and style of carrying the object to the neighbour. The object should be used but not harmed or voluntarily visually changed throughout the journey.

Performance Artists can register = travel = transport the object = perform alone, together, in pairs or in groups.

Event/Festival/Encounter organizers are invited to integrate the FRAGILE global performance chain journey into their program, in case the object shall pass by their city in time of event.

Participating performers shall document on photo and text their journey/performance. The material will be published on the webpage www.fragile-global-performance.net where the mapping of the object's movement, its carriers and their performance-travel experiences can be followed.

After the successful return of the object to Florence, Italy, a documentation-book will be produced with a double-page for each performer's picture and text.

Bis Ende 2010 können maximal 7 Postkarten im Format 10 x 15 cm nur per Post an Ingo Cesaro, Joseph-Haydn-Straße 4, D 96317 Kronach geschickt werden.

Keine Kopien, ansonsten alles möglich: Malerei, Grafik, Collagen, typografische Arbeiten zu "Cranach & Luther". Ausstellung 2011 in der Cranach-Stadt Kronach.

FLAG METAMORPHOSES - Call for Participation: Realization with many authors!
Based on this concept, I would like to invite any interested parties from as many countries as possible to develop and design an animation for this series.
If you are interested, please send me an email to myriam@thyes.com saying which flags you would like to animate.
I will provide you with the desired flags as Freehand or Illustrator files, ready to import into Flash.
Each author will research the connections between her/his two chosen countries, develop an own storyboard and independently realise the animation in Flash and send me their Flash scene as project (.fla).
Technical requirements:
Pure graphical flash image and animation, no text, photo or video.
No action script, please!
With sound preferred.
Duration: minimum 30 sec. (or longer).
Format: 768 x 576 pixel, 15 frames per second, black background.
Critical statements are welcome, but discriminatory content will not be accepted.
Public presentation:
All accepted animations are presented in the internet - the series will grow continuously with the addition of new animations. In the website, each author is named, with synopsis of her / his animation and with link to her / his website.
Each author keeps the copyright and intellectual property right for her / his own animations, but has to name Myriam Thyes as author of the concept.
This is a longer term project which is and will be shown in festivals and exhibitions. Before each presentation, all participating artists / all contributing authors are informed and will be named in the presentation.
Flag Metamorphoses is an uncommercial public art project. If it should ever win an award including a money prize, or if the animation series should ever be sold, the money would be distributed equally between all authors, corresponding to the amount of animations they have contributed.
