Funeral March: Demonstration from the Neptune Fountain to the Brandenburg Gate starts at 3 pm

DEMONSTRATION: Funeral March against proposed cuts to Berlin's cultural budget!
Initiated by the bbk berlin and the Network of Independent Berlin Project Spaces and Initiatives

When: on November 29, 2024 from 3 - 6 p.m.  

Where: Meeting point at Neptunbrunnen (Rathausstr. Ecke Spandauer Str.) with destination Brandenburg Gate

Solidarity with all those affected!

Participate!

Please come in black clothing. Bring props such as funeral wreaths made from leftover materials from artistic work, mourning ribbons or other “grave goods”.

We offer to build props together if we do not have the space to do so. We will send out information about this at the beginning of next week.

Posters, cards and information material can be picked up either at the bbk berlin (Köthener Str. 44, Mon-Thu 11am-3pm) or at the printing workshop at the bbk berlin's kulturwerk (Mariannenplatz 2, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).

If you are still in the mood for art shows and conversations with colleagues after the Funeral March, come back with us to the starting point. The nGbK has an exhibition opening that evening from 6pm. Participants in the demo will be welcomed with hot tea in the arcade! What a lovely gesture. Thanks to our colleagues at the nGbK!
