Central, affordable, and high-quality studio spaces: Today, studio viewings are taking place at the former women’s prison, organized by the Studio Office at the bbk berlin’s kulturwerk.

The fact that these 32 new studios at Lehrter Straße 61 are available for viewing is not due to current political leadership, but rather the result of an earlier decision made under a different coalition.

Lennart Siebert, Co-Studio Representative for Berlin:

“The budget for the expansion of studio spaces has been cut by over 90 percent. This effectively rules out the expansion of new studio spaces, despite a demand for over 3,000 spaces. In practice, this means: There will be no more new spaces.”

We demand that the future state government restore the budget for the expansion of new studio spaces!
