10.11.25 – 31.03.26 VG Bild-Kunst – New registration deadline on March 31

Starting in 2026, VG Bild-Kunst's registration deadline will be moved forward from June 30 to March 31 so that the legally prescribed distribution deadlines (end of the third quarter) can be met. Members of VG Bild-Kunst should prepare for this significant change in procedure early on, as the registration deadline is a cut-off date.

We are delighted to welcome our next guest in the FIXTURES event series: Sharon Paz. The artist uses technology both as a medium and as a metaphor for the construction of non-linear narratives. In her lecture, she will present several of her interactive projects in which the audience can participate.

On Friday, November 7, 2025, the artists of the Schokoladenfabrik Studios invited guests to a joint breakfast at their group exhibition on the third floor of the former Sarotti chocolate factory. The format brought together representatives from politics, administration, ownership, and other threatened studio buildings in Berlin for the first time in this form.

The bildungswerk of the bbk berlin is a non-profit subsidiary of the professional association of visual artists in Berlin (bbk berlin), providing a comprehensive professionalization programme for visual artists in Berlin. The professional field of visual arts is constantly changing, so that specialist knowledge and cultural techniques need to be updated, and further training is constantly necessary.

The Professional Association of Visual Artists Berlin represents the interests of artists in Berlin; the association currently organizes more than 3,000 artists of all visual disciplines and artistic tendencies. We are committed to the promotion of all infrastructures for fine artists. Together with its non-profit subsidiaries, kulturwerk and bildungswerk, the bbk berlin itself also organises structural support. Subsidized by the State of Berlin and the EU, the organisations make workshops and studios available for artistic work, supervise projects for art in urban space, and offer educational opportunities for artists.
