Dear friends, members and employees of the bbk berlin and the studio office at the Kulturwerk des bbk berlin,

on 13.12. we are celebrating a party in the stone hall of the sculptor's workshop (Osloer Straße 102, 13359 Berlin). It starts at 6 pm!

We celebrate: 30 years of the Berlin Studio rental programme!

Berlin's (and Germany's) first systematic studio funding program celebrates its 30th anniversary! Born out of the struggle of Berlin artists against real estate speculation and exorbitant rents, the Berlin Studio rental programme has been developing, promoting and supporting affordable studios for visual artists since 1993. It advises artists, administrators and politicians and creates access through the transparent allocation of studios on fair terms. Berlin as one of the world's centers of art production? Hard to imagine without the Berlin Studio rental programme!

We celebrate: 25 years of Birgit Nowack!

The Berlin Studio rental programme is managed by the studio office and Birgit Nowack is the Atelierbüro. Birgit has been advising and supporting artists for 25 years. We celebrate her 25 years of tireless commitment to the studio office!

We bid farewell to:  Dr. Martin Schwegmann

After almost 7 years of dedicated and successful work, Dr. Martin Schwegmann is taking his leave as studio commissioner for Berlin. Martin's ongoing commitment to sustainable and participatory urban development - in all respects - will continue elsewhere! Now he is passing on the baton...

Start: 6 pm!

*On the subway line U8 there is a rail replacement service between the stations Alexanderplatz and Osloer Straße. It is possible to get there via the Osloer Straße/Prinzenallee stop on tram M13 or M50; the U9 subway line also runs regularly to Osloer Straße station. Alternatively, the sculpture workshop can be reached via the subway station Seestraße (U6) or the S-Bahn station Bornholmer Straße (S1/S2/S25/S26/S8/S85) and a change to the trams M13 or M50. The walk from the tram takes about 4 minutes, from the subway station Osloer Straße about 10 minutes.
