In the last two weeks, we have received numerous thoughts and messages of concern from our members. All are united by fear and horror about the escalations of violence in Israel and Palestine and their effects on Germany, Berlin, culture and politics. Extreme uncertainty exists. The attack of Hamas and the killing of civilians cannot be justified by anything. Our full sympathy and mourning go out

Let’s plan new campaigns – locally, regionally and throughout the entire nation! With banners, choirs and shields, we will resolutely and visibly take to the streets to protect democracy and the rights for minorities anchored within it. We will realize days of action and a major demonstration in 2025.

Relevant to us are sections 08 (contains the budget titles for culture) and 10 (contains the budget titles for cultural education). We have looked at the individual plans in detail and collected our questions and demands in a document.
